About My Work Hi There, My name is Rachael Ransom. I've been working in documentaries since 2018, and have had the pleasure of working in several different roles. During the almost 5 years I was at Network Entertainment I worked as a segment producer, casting associate, researcher (both archival and on the story side) and in general administration. My last show, I was an archival researcher on a 10 part hockey series. I was responsible for research and assisting with clearances. Now that I'm a contractor again, I've recently have been working in production and archival on another documentary and was recommended to join VRSC by a colleague of mine. I am doing research and clearances for this role as well. I truly hope to be considered for the VRSC, as I hope to continue to work as an archival researcher. Thank you for your time and consideration! Sincerely, Rachael Ransom

About My Work I have 20 years experience researching compelling and engaging visual images. Before moving into visual research for documentaries I was the photo editor at Maclean's Magazine and Hello! Canada so have a solid background in quickly and thoroughly evaluating 1000s of images on tight deadlines and on budget. My areas of expertise are Canadian history and politics, current and archival Royalty story lines and pop culture. I've also researched series on everything from wrestling to climate change to WW2. I am curious about all subjects and have a desire to dig deep into visual research on any topic.
