About My Work
Bonjour,
Je me présente, je suis diplômée de l'INIS au profil scénarisation et recherche. Depuis, j'ai travaillé sur plusieurs projets télévisuels et cinématographiques comme recherchiste, notamment d'archives visuelles.
J'ai été mentorée par Sophie Moreau et c'est à travers laNégo que j'ai pu développer une méthodologie de travail comme recherchiste d'archives.
J’ai fait partie de l'équipe de recherche sur des séries documentaires comme Quépop, diffusée sur TVA, qui s'intéresse à l'histoire de la musique pop au Québec tout comme sur Voleurs en série diffusée sur Crave qui raconte des sagas de vols multiples.
En ce moment, je travaille activement comme recherchiste sur de multiples films et séries, essentiellement documentaires, qui couvrent les domaines de l’Histoire, du design, de la culture populaire comme de problématiques sociales. En effet, la série KITSCH QC sur laquelle je fais la recherche d’archives raconte l’histoire des décors de restaurants thématiques du Québec par communauté culturelle des années 1950 à 1980. Je m’occupe également de la recherche de visuels sur un long-métrage ADONIS et sur sa déclinaison balado. Ce projet dénonce les effets néfastes de l’usage de stéroïdes chez les jeunes hommes. Je travaille également sur d’autres projets qui traitent de l’histoire du hip-hop au Québec ou sur celle du Petit Québec en Floride.

About My Work
Natalie Novak Remplakowski is a Polish-Canadian filmmaker based between Toronto and NYC with over a decade of broad experience in both scripted and creative nonfiction work for all platforms.
Natalie is a current candidate of New York University’s TISCH Graduate Film Program, awarded the Tisch School of the Arts Scholarship and the WTC Johnson Scholarship to attend.
Natalie has been a producer on award-winning films and series that have been recognized by the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television and festivals worldwide including Venice, TIFF, Sundance, Cannes, San Sebastian, New York Film Festival, SXSW, among others.
Recent credits include the short films Freak by Claire Barnett which received a ‘Special Mention’ at the 77th Locarno Film Festival, Three Keenings by Oliver McGoldrick which premiered at the 81st Venice Film Festival in the Orizzonti Short Film International Competition and Nola (co-directed by Aisha and Natalie) which premiered at Aspen Shortsfest in 2024 and serves as the precursor to the feature Seahorse (2025).
Prior to NYU, Natalie worked as an associate producer for Scythia Films based in Toronto for principal Daniel Bekerman (The Apprentice, The Witch). There, she worked on films such as Viggo Mortensen’s directorial debut, Falling (Sundance, Cannes, TIFF 2020), Percy Vs Goliath starring Christopher Walken, Christina Ricci and Zach Braff, and Slash/Back (SXSW 2022), an Arctic set sci-fi about a group of teen Inuit girls that fight off an alien invasion.
Born and raised in Mississauga, Ontario to Polish immigrants, Natalie grew up immersed in the Polish community’s performing arts.
She holds both Canadian and EU passports.
