My diverse career has seen me as a multi-instrumentalist, music historian, writer, editor, visual researcher and radio show host.

As a guitarist I’ve done musical theatre shows and tours and played in bands over much of the globe. My first major gig came with being selected by Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor to play guitar in the Toronto production of the “We Will Rock You” musical, ultimately leading to about 1,300 performances in various incarnations of the show around the world.

As a writer my coffee table book and comprehensive history of the legendary rock outfit Max Webster called “High Class” was endorsed by the band’s frontman Kim Mitchell. It was covered by most major media in Canada including the Toronto Star and the CBC, and the first thousand copies sold out with a second edition on the way this coming November.

I have been credited as visual researcher, editor or contributor in no less than a dozen books and other publications. My visual researcher work has had me connecting authors and film producers with photographers, often entailing clearing copyright myself with the photographers after negotiations and contracts being signed (I did much of the same on my own book with dozens of photographers).

I have thoroughly enjoyed the role of visual researcher and would love to have the opportunity to do more of it.

Here are a few projects on which I’m credited for Visual Research work:

Toronto Rocks (documentary, 2026, pending release)
Queen: The European and UK Tour 1982 (Gary Taylor, 2020)
The Flyer Vault: 150 Years of Toronto Concert History (Daniel Tate, Rob Bowman, 2019)
Max Webster - The Party (ole Label Group box set, 2017)
