In October 2025, the Visual Researchers’ Society of Canada turned 20 years old.

From a niche group in 2005, to becoming Canada’s foremost professional archive research organization, we thank our partners, producers, suppliers and supporters who have helped us to reach this incredible milestone!

Today, the VRSC represents over 125 Visual Researchers, Archive Producers and Clearance Specialists across the country. Our talented members continue to be instrumental to the production of outstanding documentaries, feature films, television series, books, and websites.

Year after year we are recognized by leading awards bodies, and we champion the role within the industry.
